Assalamualaikum w.b.t,

Basically that statement is overrated. It is not really treating the diabetes.
It is just an alternative for those who use insulin injections/ insulin pumps daily to control their blood sugar level.👶👶👶👶
This so called 'optogenetics' technology has enabled the researches from
East China Normal University (yeah this technology is made in China!!! No more stereotyping the China products please!!) to turn normal body cells into storage for the insulin. This storage drugs is then somehow(with wireless-powered sensor) in response to light can be controlled using the smartphones!! WICKED!!!😎😎

The researchers tested this device onto mice and they found out that they
were able to control diabetes with the tap of a touchscreen !!! 😱😱😱The only problem that need to be solve is that they need to prick some blood to check for glucose level in order to send signals of the right amount of insulin to be released in to the body. 😏

They are in hope of creating "a fully automated system that both detects sugar levels and then releases the right amount of therapeutic chemicals."😌😌
So we ought to expect drugs (which need to be taken chronically), are to be administered in the same way in the future.

And... i would imagine, somehow this technology is misused; in which other people can try to murder the user by simply hacking into his smartphone and causing drug toxicity in the user.  (evil laughs)👹             💁mehhh💁  and what's worse is that, this device would increase our dependency towards smartphones 😌

This device is still under research. All in all, I look foward to see this technology being implemented into our medical facilities. Haha 😼😼😼😼
